I'm currently working on a reprint of my Tapas book for Grub Street (first published in mid-1980's for La Ina, the sherry folks) - I say 'currently' but I'm actually heading for the fortnightly Farmers' Market in my home town on the west coast of Wales to stock up on someone else's cooking so I can concentrate. Pork pie is what I have in mind, with maybe a handful of Cardigan Bay prawns if the fishmonger's there. There are young lambs in the fields all around where I live, and the sunshine has brought up a cloud of crocuses. I live 600ft up in the hills so everything blossoms a month later than anywhere else. This morning I heard the first woodpecker of the year.
